Not your average teacher

  • Nov. 10th, 2007 at 10:45 PM

While I may know a hell of a lot about the history of human interaction and communication I am still rather new to using the internet for anything other than banking or using teacher resources.  This explains in small part why I'm just now starting an LJ account, a larger part of that explaination is a very nice friend I met elsewhere (Ryladante you know who you are)  Check my bio if you would like information on what I like and so forth.  This journal will be dedicated mostly to the stories that I have written as well as the positive and negative feedback I'll receive from ya'll. (Yes I reside in Texas)

Though I do teach English I could care less about the grammar, syntax, or spelling of any messages I receive.  First, I'm not getting paid to do it.  Second, if I tried to correct every letter I receive I'd never leave the chair in front of my PC.  Last but not least doing something that asinine would no doubt guarantee my firm position in the pantheon of "Internet Assholes".

This doesn't mean, however, that if you have any questions for me that are in any way related to English studies or education in general I won't answer them.  On the contrary I recommend you feel free to fire away with any questions you have.

Moving forward to my writing.  My work is mostly si-fi or horror related though I will write on almost any subject unless I truly know nothing about it.

My first request here is: "Given what I enjoy talking about would any of you like to read some of my pieces?"  If so, what kind?
I'm going to wait three days then check responses.  I'll take it from there dependant upon viewer response.

Until then have a nice time and never quit learning
